The short version
We don't run third-party trackers. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no session replay. We don't set cookies for advertising or fingerprinting purposes. The only personal data we ever hold is the email address you give us if (and only if) you subscribe to the newsletter.
What we collect automatically
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and aggregate referrers without using cookies and without storing any personal information. It can't identify individual visitors. We use the data to know which articles people actually read, nothing more.
Cloudflare itself, as the CDN serving the site, processes IP addresses to deliver pages and to mitigate abuse. It does not retain that data for our analytics. Their privacy practices are documented at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
What we collect when you subscribe
If you sign up for the Sunday brief, we collect:
- Your email address.
- The date and source of the signup (which page on the site).
- Engagement signals from the email itself (whether you opened it, which links you clicked).
Email handling is done by Kit (formerly ConvertKit). Their data processing terms are at kit.com/privacy-policy.
One unsubscribe click removes you from the list. We don't keep ghost records of unsubscribed addresses for marketing purposes.
Affiliate redirect logging
When you click a CTA on a tool page, you pass through /go/{slug}. We log the slug (which tool was clicked) and the date — anonymously, in aggregate. We don't tie clicks to your IP, your email, or any other identifier. We use this to know which offers convert.
What we don't collect
- Your name (we never ask).
- Your IP address, beyond what Cloudflare uses for routing.
- Any payment information (you pay vendors directly; we never see it).
- Any data from third-party social networks.
Cookies
The site uses no cookies for analytics, advertising, or fingerprinting. The only cookies that may be set are essential session cookies from external partner sites you click through to — we have no control over those.
Your rights
Because we don't collect identifying information from non-subscribers, there's typically nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you're a newsletter subscriber and want to:
- See what data we have on you,
- Correct an email address,
- Delete your record entirely (beyond a standard unsubscribe),

Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for newsletter subscribers, send a one-line note in the next Sunday brief.
